More than three-quarters of U.S. adults say it is important for people to have access to outdoor amenities to continue or create new family traditions, including nearly half who say this is extremely or very important. Picnic areas, local parks, campgrounds and pavilions provide families and close friends the ability to safely gather, enjoy the fresh air and spend quality time together.
Key Findings:
- 76 percent of U.S. adults say it is important for people to have access to outdoor amenities to continue or create new family traditions, including nearly half (49 percent) who say this is extremely or very important.
- Parents (86 percent) are more likely than non-parents (71 percent) and U.S. adults overall (76 percent) to say it is important for people to have access to these outdoor amenities, which can include picnic areas, parks, campgrounds and pavilions.
- Gen Xers (85 percent) and millennials (83 percent) say it is important for people to have access to outdoor amenities to continue or create new family traditions.
