93% of U.S. adults — across all ages, races, political affiliations and regions of the country — agree conservation is an essential role of parks and recreation.
According to the Sustainability in Parks and Recreation report, the most common park and recreation sustainability actions are planting trees, transitioning to native and climate-adaptable plants, and updating and retrofitting buildings and other park infrastructure.
Each month, through a poll of 1,000 U.S. residents focused on park and recreation issues, NRPA Park Pulse helps tell the park and recreation story. Questions span from the serious to the more lighthearted. The survey was conducted by Wakefield Research.
