Looking to get more involved and give back to the park and recreation profession? NRPA is seeking individuals to provide thought leadership and engage NRPA Network members in impactful initiatives. Being a network leader is an opportunity for you to make a difference in the profession, bring people together and build community. NRPA Networks include: Aquatics; Armed Forces Recreation; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI); and Young Professional.
The NRPA Networks meet monthly on Zoom and in person at the NRPA Annual Conference. The meetings are a great way to connect with like-minded professionals who may be facing the same challenges as you. Network Leaders choose the monthly discussion topics, promote the meetings, and help facilitate the discussions on Zoom and in their NRPA Connect communities. Some recent meeting topics include: “Telling Your Story: Advocating for Your Department,” “Where Does Money Come From,” “Innovation to Creation” and “Conflict Resolution.”
Network leaders can earn five Professional Service Experience (PSE) points, which are equivalent to 0.5 Continuing Education Units. Applications are due by September 19. Apply here today.
