This month, Parks & Recreation is debuting Inbox, a section of the magazine where members like you can sound off on your opinions of what NRPA is doing, give feedback on articles you read in the magazine, share exciting initiatives you’re doing at your agency that you’d like the rest of the membership to know about and just tell us what’s going on. The below commentary was collected from social media posts, website comments, emails to staff, posts on Connect, etc., and we’ll gather feedback from these areas each month.
Great information in the magazine. I decided to sign up for the electronic version. I need as much info as I can get to write my master’s thesis, and since it is about recreation in certified beaches, I thought I may find interesting stuff here. I certainly did. Thanks.

For National Park and Recreation Month, we at Coconino County Parks and Recreation left disposable cameras at all of our parks and let people take pictures of how they enjoy the parks. I’ve posted what I consider the best pictures on our Facebook page. Check it out!

Great article. Thanks for keeping up — and in turn allowing me to — in this important area.

Jan, your preparation shows and you clearly love what you do! Thanks for being so awesome and sharing what you have learned along the way! Can’t wait for Graduate D School in August!

I just wanted to say thank you to you and the rest of the staff who make Park and Rec Month happen. I had such a fun time planning our events and watching them unfold. It was so great to see so many people outside in our parks enjoying themselves! Hopefully now that they know we have those parks, they will come to them more often! Also, thank you so much for putting the toolkit with all of the resources online for easy access. All of the tools helped me tremendously and were very valuable!
