2010 After School Archery Program Grant Now Closed!

The National Alliance for the Development of Archery (NADA) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) has partnered to expand youth archery programs through park and recreation agencies by initiating the After School Archery Program (ASAP) grant. This grant is available to park and recreation agencies and community organizations working to engage youth ages 5-18 in the fundamentals of archery.

The 2010 ASAP grant will be offered to 100 qualified applicants for new and existing archery programs. Each selected grant recipient will receive a $500 grant that can be used towards purchasing the following items for archery programs:

  • Equipment
  • Programmatic resources (targets, workbooks, rental fees for range time)
  • Training (staff, volunteers, and archery instructors)

 The application deadline is February 10, 2010 and all applications will be considered.


       

After School Archery Program grants have been awarded to over 200 park and recreation agencies and community-based organizations throughout the United States. As a partner of NRPA, the National Alliance for the Development of Archery, (NADA) encourages all park and recreation agencies and community-based organziations to access information on how to locate and/or become certified coaches and instructors.  In addition, NADA provides training models, best practices for starting an archery program and information on how to rent or purchase archery equipment.
